Stephanie Ascher, Managing Director

Stephanie Ascher is a Managing Director of Stern IR, Head of Operations, and key member of senior client leadership. Since joining Stern IR in 2004, Stephanie has worked with companies both domestically and globally across Europe and Asia, some for more than a decade. She has extensive experience working with a range of healthcare companies, from preclinical platform companies to established commercial companies, and across a number of therapeutic areas, including oncology, rare disease, central nervous system disorders, gastroenterology and hepatology, and gene regulation, along with companies focused on diagnostics and specialty pharmaceuticals.

Stephanie has helped numerous private companies navigate the initial public offering process through many different market environments, building public company infrastructure and guiding through the first few years of being on the market. She also works with established public companies to improve IR impact and manage complex strategic issues. Stephanie helps management teams develop relationships with key contacts in the investment industry and optimize their investor base through analytics, conferences, events and one-on-one meetings. In addition, her particular expertise includes messaging and positioning around data communications rollouts and strategic relaunches and IR strategies for late-stage and commercial organizations, guiding complex financial and regulatory disclosures, including the path to profitability.

Stephanie has successfully advised companies through management transitions, billions of dollars of capital markets financings, significant M&A transactions, activist campaigns and other major corporate updates.

As Head of Operations, Stephanie establishes strategies for the growth and profitability of Stern IR, while ensuring that daily operations run smoothly – from client satisfaction to employee engagement and productivity. She also spearheads recruiting for Stern IR.

Stephanie earned a B.A. in English from Cornell University. She hails from Highland Park, Illinois but has become a New York transplant and now lives in Sands Point on Long Island with her husband, their three sons and a friendly labradoodle. She enjoys being outdoors whenever possible, reading, cycling, yoga and spending time with family and friends with good food and wine.
