Suzanne Messere joined SternIR as a Managing Director with more than 25 years of financial communications experience, including 16 years of in-house investor relations (IR), of which the majority was leading comprehensive IR programs, and more than 10 years in equity sales and marketing on the sell-side. Over the years, she has developed a focus within healthcare due to marketing trading ideas, IPOs and follow-on offerings to the investment community on behalf of an investment bank and then in-house IR leadership roles within oncology, cell therapy and medical device.
Extensive public company experience includes the following: repositioning based upon strategic direction, upcoming milestones, and/or corporate lifecycle transitions; corporate strategy; competitive intelligence; sell-side and buy-side targeting; planned disclosures/IR calendar; clinical data announcements; key opinion leader (KOL) events; private placements; IPO preparation; follow-on offerings; acquisitions; divestments; mergers; partnerships; succession planning; corporate restructuring; disclosure metrics to include in FP&A; enhancing transparency and visibility; quarterly reporting calendar; SEC filings; accounting restatements; material weakness; activist shareholders; and class action lawsuits.
Suzanne has a B.S. in Marketing from Quinnipiac University. She has also advanced her studies in accounting, strategic financial analysis, and completed level one of the Chartered Financial Analyst program. When not working, Suzanne can be found on a tennis court, on a bicycle, or a walking adventure. She also enjoys expanding her cultural awareness and perspective by traveling the world, having visited 22 countries so far.
