Jodi Paulen, Director of Business Operations

Jodi brings a wealth of operational and practice management experience to SternIR, as her 20+ year career spans across various industries in managing growing companies in challenging and ever-evolving environments. As Director of Business Operations, Jodi has overall responsibility for all major operational functions within SternIR, acting as liaison to facilities and vendor partners, negotiation of contracts, and general business, human resources, and strategic oversight for the company. Most recently, Jodi has quickly and effectively coordinated the transition to a virtual work environment in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, implementing the tools and resources required to seamlessly navigate through these challenging times. One example was the vendor selection, implementation, and coordination of several software platforms used to increase engagement and improve communications both internally and across our client and vendor partnerships. Jodi is also responsible for leading all cross-functional initiatives for SternIR, establishing standards and implementing systems, policies, and procedures in support of the goals established by the firm.

Prior to joining SternIR, Jodi’s career has focused on improving efficiencies and customer service engagement levels within the financial services sector. This included the analysis, procurement, implementation, and on-going support of software systems. The development of streamlined workflow processes ultimately led to an increased conversion rate for business development, as well as increased retention and an elevated client service experience. Her skillset has given her the opportunity to travel to some unique places, including working and living in the UK and even Moscow, Soviet Union.

Jodi earned a Bachelor of Business degree (BBA) in Operations and Technology Management from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Jodi lives in Hillsdale, NJ with her high school aged son and daughter, a student at Elon University studying to pursue a degree in Public Relations and Communications. In her spare time, she can be seen playing softball and flag football in women’s leagues in her hometown, exercising, and enjoying quality time with family and friends.
