Elsie Yau, Director

Elsie Yau is a Director at SternIR where she partners with public and private clients to design and implement holistic investor relations programs. Elsie has worked with clients across therapeutic areas, modalities and stages of development.

Previously, Elsie was an Assistant Vice President at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) executing on the City’s $500 million initiative (now $1 billion) to expand the local biotech sector. During her tenure, she was involved in business development and real estate transactions to activate new lab and office space to serve New York City biotech companies.

Elsie earned a bachelor’s degree in the History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health from Yale University.

When not at work, Elsie can often be spotted running, on road trips, reading the New York Times, and on long walks with her dog Pita, a Jack Russel-Rat Terrier mix. She serves on the associate board of the Exam Schools Partnership Initiative, a non-profit that aims to provide middle schoolers with the tools to gain admission to New York City’s top public high schools.
