Lilian Stern has been a senior investor relations counselor in the biotechnology industry for over 20 years, representing more than 300 companies ranging from start-ups to large-cap public companies, in a broad range of development stages and therapeutic areas. As Principal of Stern IR, she works closely with all client teams, providing skilled and knowledgeable IR counsel. Lilian previously worked as a biotechnology sell-side analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette/Credit Suisse First Boston and was also Vice President of Biotechnology at AgriCapital Corporation. She holds an A.B. in Molecular Biology with distinction from Cornell University and a J.D. with honors from Harvard Law School.

Lilian is a member of National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) as well as the New York Biotechnology Association (NYBA). Lilian established the Stern IR Foundation in 2008 to make contributions and otherwise support charities related to autism and other human health issues, as well as organizations that support cultural, educational and religious institutions. She sits on the board of Springboard Enterprises, the premier platform where entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts meet to build great women-led businesses. Lilian is an omnivorous reader, enjoys crossword puzzles and is an avid Schubert fan.

Sarah McCabe is a Vice President at Stern IR and has been with the firm since 2004. For over a decade, she has executed comprehensive and strategic IR programs for her private and public clients. She has worked alongside many client companies through their IPO process and assisted with implementing standard best practices for public company procedures and communications. Sarah has extensive experience with messaging and planning for drug approvals and launches, clinical trial results, corporate re-positioning, M&A and other related events. Sarah's previous work experience includes PR and event planning. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Sarah enjoys spending time with her two boys, summers at the beach in East Hampton, riding her Peloton bike and eating at her favorite Philly restaurants.

Jesse Baumgartner is a Senior Associate at Stern IR and joined the firm in early 2012. He leads public and private client accounts with an emphasis on strategic messaging and communications, tactical activity planning, relationship management, and broader industry analysis. He has worked with clients across a wide range of therapeutic areas and helped direct private company IR programs leading to IPOs, as well as public company IR plans and communications around earnings announcements, clinical disclosures, regulatory updates, corporate repositioning, partnerships and analyst days. Before Stern IR, he spent time as a journalist and also worked in politics – both on individual campaigns and for a communications firm in Seattle, Northwest Passage Consulting. Jesse holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has also passed the Level I & II CFA exams and is a candidate for Level III in June 2016. In his free time, Jesse enjoys traveling around the East Coast, training for half-marathons and working his way through U.S. presidential biographies.

Christina Tartaglia is a Senior Analyst at Stern IR and joined the firm in 2015. She works with both public and private clients, developing and implementing comprehensive investor relations programs that encompass strategic messaging and presentation review, in-depth research projects and perception studies, and tactical coordination around roadshows, conferences, R&D days and special events. Prior to joining Stern IR, Christina worked as a researcher at Amarin Pharma, New York Medical College and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cellular Biology with Honors, and a minor in Health Care Policy. Christina also received a Business Certificate from Columbia University.

Andrew Edwards is an Analyst at Stern IR and joined the firm in 2015. He works with both public and private clients across a number of therapeutic areas, with activities ranging from tactical investor outreach to broader industry trend research. Prior to joining Stern IR, Andrew held intern positions focused on pharmaceutical communications and healthcare public relations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a minor in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Andrew also received a Business Certificate from UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Matt Shinseki is an Analyst at Stern IR and joined the firm in 2016. He works with both public and private clients, assisting with strategic planning and tactical IR programs including investor targeting, outreach and competitive peer and industry analysis. Prior to joining Stern IR, Matt worked in research at New York University School of Medicine, University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and Oregon Health and Science University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences: Neuroscience from the University of Rochester.

Stephanie joined Stern IR in 2004 and is a Vice President at the firm. She has worked with companies in a variety of therapeutic areas and development stages. She has experience working with a number of private companies, establishing IR programs and laying the groundwork for successful venture financing rounds and IPOs, and guiding many of these companies as they establish effective public company practices post-IPO. She has also worked with a wide range of public companies, implementing major communications and IR initiatives including analyst days, data announcements and scientific presentations, regulatory updates, new product launches and M&A transactions. Her previous work experience includes positions in brand marketing and educational publishing. She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Stephanie enjoys exploring NYC with her husband, son and spunky Labradoodle, being a foodie, cycling and travel.

Beth is a Vice President at Stern IR and joined the firm in 2013. She provides senior level IR counsel to clients across a range of therapeutic areas and market caps. She has been actively involved in pre-IPO activities for private clients including the orchestration of mezzanine rounds, advising on banking syndicates, S-1 drafting and review, and the development of roadshow materials. On the public side, she has developed comprehensive IR programs and helped clients to navigate new product launch strategies, clinical data announcements and corporate repositioning. Prior to joining Stern IR, Beth worked for over six years as a healthcare analyst at two independent research firms. She has a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Spanish from the University of Rochester. She also completed a Post-Baccalaureate Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Beth loves to explore NYC by bike and is continually seeking out the City’s best bowl of ramen and best cocktail.

Hannah Deresiewicz is an Associate at Stern IR and joined the firm in mid-2013. She works with international public and private clients, developing and implementing comprehensive investor relations programs that encompass strategic messaging and presentation review, in-depth research projects and perception studies, and tactical coordination around conferences, R&D days and special events. Hannah has experience advising private companies on the execution of crossover deals, acquisitions and IPOs, and assisting public companies with the drafting of communications around earnings announcements and partnerships. She graduated summa cum laude from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and sociology. Hannah is a life-long New York Yankees fan, but will forever be a devoted Bostonian!

Maren Killackey is an Analyst at Stern IR and joined the firm in 2015. She assists both private and public clients, including recent IPOs, and helps execute their IR programs by drafting tactical plans, planning roadshows and conducting quantitative and qualitative research on healthcare investment trends. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University. Maren enjoys lounging in Central Park, reading the Economist and taking self-guided culinary tours of Jackson Heights.

Julie Seidel is an Analyst at Stern IR and joined the firm in 2015. She works with both public and private clients, assisting with their IR programs through tactical investor outreach and targeting, as well as the development of their broader strategic IR activity plans. Prior to joining Stern IR, Julie held intern positions focused on food- and nutrition-related public relations, as well as health and medical projects at The Hospital for Special Surgery and New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center. Julie attended Barnard College, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and re-watching Something’s Gotta Give.
